'Lovely week, everything we needed for a family relaxed holiday.  Enjoyed the walks in the clean air and the accessibilty to so much history'

Palmer family, Barnstaple - May 2010

'An idyllic situation, perfect spot! Lovely cottage, beautiful views and very helpful owners.  Location ideal for visiting the Ille et Vilaine region, Morbihan and Loire Atlantique .......and much more. Thanks Dawn and Ian for a fabulous holiday.'

Maureen & John Nickson, Preston - July 2010

'A lovely cottage. Beautiful peaceful area. Good market in Redon. La Gacilly had lovely little artisan shops.  We had 6 hours at the beach at Penestin. Only took an hour to get there. Free parking, very useful, next to the beach....Thank you Dawn and Ian for a lovely place to stay.  Will recommend to others.'

Bruce and Sandra Seymour, Brentwood - July 2010

'A fabulous gite. We have had a wonderful holiday here. Visited La Bourbansais Zoo and Chateau - spent the whole day there as there was so much to see.
Saturday is a good day to visit Rennes, as there is a huge food market.
We have also enjoyed some lovely BBQ's on the patio, followed by a game of boules.
Thank you Dawn and Ian for a fantastic holiday.'

Clare, Terry & Scott Cunningham, Liverpool - August 2010

'Sitting, writing this, under the pergola looking down to the River Vilaine watching fisherman  doing their Sunday morning thing, cyclists and walkers passing by and the occasional boat threading its way upstream.
The robin is back sorting through the fallen pine needles with his mate and the red squirrel(!!) has made his second appearance in La Vilaine Vue Aerial Ballet.....  supportive but non-intrusive owners - what more can you ask?
Many thanks for the use of your lovely place, the boules, the bikes...........everything. (Breton Brut inc)'

Roger and Flic Brewster, Birmingham   August 2010

'A lovely gite, fabulous position, loads to see and do in  the area.  We went down the local bar in Langon, very friendly people.  We visited La Gacilly and saw the Vegetarium and went in all of the little craft shops. We also visited Tropical Parc, San Jacut La Pins.  We watched the spectacle there, which consisted of a chicken riding a bicycle....  So Tropical Parc is thoroughly recommended!'

With Many Thanks,
Karen, Andy and Becca, Weymouth   August 2010

A great week here in this lovely region of France. We loved La Roche Bernard, Guerande (city of salt) with its quaint shops.......So much to see and do.....wonderful sights we will never forget.  Hope to make it longer next time.

We've enjoyed a lovely relaxed week .....we've visited Rochefort on Terre. Malestroit, Vannes and Chateaubriant..... Super to return to this lovely cottage at the end of the day.

'Very well equipped cottage in a great location, secluded but  not isolated. Within an hour you can be in Rennes, Vannes, Penestin.......The park and ride in Rennes makes it particularly easy to visit.  Thanks for having the courage to let strangers use your lovely cottage, it is much appreciated. Good luck for the future.'

'... The cottage was so pleasant and well equipped that we wanted for nothing. Thank you so much and we would certainly recommend the gite to friends looking for accommodation in this area.'

June and David Tweedell, Barton-on-sea

'Our introduction to France ... we could not have picked a better spot - quiet but accessible to the many places to visit. Our first evening we were treated to a deer crossing the field below and the following morning a woodpecker on the "tastefully positioned" tree.....'

Elizabeth, Roger and Chloe, Vigo Kent
July/August 2011

'What a beautiful corner of the world. The slow pace of life and lovely surroundings were just what we needed to recharge our batteries..... Loved the local wildlife - saw a beautiul stink out by the Megaliths at St. Just and decided the lizards on the patio are Soo...cute.'

Maria, Richard and Amy, Wimborne
August 2011

'...Fishing is good in the vilaine saw Buzzards, Kestrels, Hen Harrier, Sparowhawk, Herons, Swans.....Lizards and a frog on the patio. Plenty of great walks for our dog... Friendly welcome from Ian and Dawn.  Amazing weather made the holiday complete, found plenty to do.  Would recommend a visit to La Baule - beautiful beach especially at sunset. Fourth visit to France - best gite so far.'

'An enjoyable 2 weeks in this peaceful area....Had several walks along the river and explored the countryside.  Visits to St. Nazaire, Redon and La Gacilly were interesting.  The red squirrel visited most days.....A good holiday!!.'
